Straight razor. J.A. Henckels. Solingen. Raised hunting scene of horse and riders following dogs chasing deer through the woods. Colored in burgundy on imitation ivory. Pile side is fully decorated with symbols: fox head, rifle, crossbow, spears, skull and cross, horn, wreath, etc. This is a symbolic Germanic hunting theme. I have examined five of this pattern. Marked on tang "J.A. Henckels. Solingen. Zwillingswerk 1459 1/2" with maker's mark.
