1945 NYC Winding circuit railroad clock, Brooklyn, NY, HUGE 38" x 14" x 6". The owner was a NYC engineer. This was salvaged from NYC railroad depot in the 1960s. Not sure where it originally hung. The engineer stated that most of these clocks were used in schools, libraries, railways and other NYC public service departments from 1937 thorough the late 60s/early 70s. This model could be from 1945. Has wear, evidence of being refinished and the wood on the back needs some TLC. Also, I have no idea how to open to look at the clock mechanism, I'll save that for the buyer. Not sure if it works. Oak case has locks (which makes sense seeing as they were in the public pervue). Case is open. Oak case also has the number 38 (picture). Last service in 1994. Copy of original instructions included. NO KEY. Very cool NYC history. Contents of a Scarsdale estate. Please refer to pictures for condition. Please bring help, tools, boxes, wrap, blankets, tools, equipment and the appropriate vehicle for SAFE removal. None will be available on site.
