Straight razor. Illegible maker hollow ground blade with a pressed horn handle depicting a soldier, men on horses, and "Platoff", the pile side has a double headed eagle, a seated man, and "Alexander". Again, pressed horn handle patterns were typically designed to tell a story. I believe this is a battle scene involving the military leaders of "Alexander," Alexander I; Constantin, Grand Duke of Russia; and "Platoff," Count Platoff, Hetman of Cossacks.

Straight razor. "Henry T. Lummus" collection assembled before 1920. Henry, the youngest Supreme Court Judge in Massachusetts, lived in Lynn, Mass. He had the finest collection of 18th & 19thC straight razors known. Approximately 500 were donated to the Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, VT where they can be viewed today. I purchased approximately 500 pieces including the Duke of Marlborough's folding pocket razor. This is the only example of this pattern with inlaid rifle that I have seen.
