Straight Razor Auction Ending 9/16

This offering of rare and unusual straight razors comes from the Estate of Kurt Moe of Minnesota. Kurt was an avid collector of straight razors and a personal friend of over forty years. Kurt bought many of these examples from me over the past forty plus years. This second session contains many unique, one of a kind straight razors and razor sets including celluloid, carved bone, figural cast aluminum, antique stag, sterling silver, tortoise shell, black buffalo horn & more. Kurt and his wife collected many other categories of memorabilia including antique toys, banks, tins, soda fountain items and advertising. We will be offering all of these items at auction in upcoming sessions.

Payment is due by Wednesday, September 18 at 1PM.

Pickup in Pleasant Valley, NY must be completed by Wednesday, September 18 at 3PM.

All lots sold as is, where is. There is a 15% Buyers Premium for all lots purchased. Payment methods include cash, MC, Visa, Discover or good check. You can make credit card payment online by going to your Member Area and selecting your invoice.

A wonderful Gentlemen's Traveling Grooming set with a pair of Sterling Silver razors and other tools all fitted in the flat, presentation, solid wood case having an inlaid escutcheon plate. JOSEPH RODGERS is responsible for this unique set. Note the natural materials on the other fine tools. Who knows what is under the lid? I have not encountered another set quite like this one! Note: Joseph Rodgers had the largest store of this natural material in the city of Sheffield during the 19thC. They were in business from 1670-1970. They made some of the finest straight razors to come out of Sheffield during the 1800's.
