Features Lady Liberty holding U.S. flag above sailors preparing to fire a gun at an enemy ship, as an officer peers through binoculars. This lithograph was printed by Forbes of Boston; its name appears at the bottom right. The poster is in excellent condition for 101 years old. It shows only slight wear. It was professionally framed about 35 years ago with a coordinating frame that pulls out the dominant color, mounted on acid-free paper. Howard Chandler Christy (1873-1952) was an American artist and illustrator. He often featured beautiful women in his works, who became known as Christy Girls, and knew how to blend female attractiveness with wartime emotions, to bring out America’s fighting spirit.
