Many of these original 19th Century works of art were featured in Special exhibits including at the historic Boscobel Mansion in Garrison, NY and the Putnam County Historical Society building, former West Point Foundry School building, in Cold Spring, NY. Many were originally sold at auction at major NYC auction houses and galleries including Sotheby's, Christies, Doyle's, Alexander Galleries and Kennedy Galleries. The Hudson River School of "Nature Painters" were painting from the mid-19ThC to the late 19thC. Although, they were actively painting views all across America, the scenes on the Hudson River are the most sought after.
