Clocks including tall clock in carved oak case and having a print or lithograph titled, "The Yacht Dauntless of NY 263 Tons owned and commodore by JaS G Bennett." Pendulum but no key, Didn't inspect movement. Also included is an antique regulator style clock (23" x 15") with pendulum. Mas JM and Sullivan co. see label. Last, there is a brand new Harris and Marlow Verichron clock. Only opened to show label. The owner was a NYC engineer. This was salvaged from NYC railroad depot in the 1960s. Not sure where it originally hung. The engineer stated that most of these clocks were used in schools, libraries, railways and other NYC public service departments from 1937 thorough the late 60s/early 70s.. The owner stated it was salvaged in the late 60s. Very cool NYC history. Contents of a Scarsdale estate. Please refer to pictures for condition. Please bring help, tools, boxes, wrap, blankets, tools, equipment and the appropriate vehicle for SAFE removal. None will be available on site.
